About Me:
My name is Charles L. Chatmon, a poet and author of two books, The Depths of My Soul and The Voices of South Central. As a freelance writer, I’ve contributed to local college and community newspapers in addition to a few start up magazines. Currently I serve as executive director of the Los Angeles Black Book Expo. I’m also a co-host on an internet show called Mixed Matters at the North Bay Media Review website. I'm quiet most of the time but once you get to know me, you'll find I have a lot to offer in a conversation, no matter the subject. I love to write, read and enjoy the simple things in life. Thanks to my friends who've supported me thus far. 2007 was a great year but I plan to kick it up a notch for 2008. Take care.

Poems From A Man's Heart and Storm Over South Central are my two new books due mid 2008. I'm planning some major moves in my personal life and the literary world within the next year or so, and I read poems to a live audience every once in a while.

Authors and exhibitors wishing to attend our annual event can now register online and view a list of activities taking place during the day. If you were not a part of the LABBX last year, don’t miss this golden opportunity to be part of which is shaping up to be one of the finest literary events on the West coast. Our target date for the LABBX is on Saturday, June 14th, two weeks after Book Expo America here in Los Angeles.
