ETHNIC SCRAPBOOKING is an innovative approach to preserving memories and is a rich source of ideas. ETHNIC SCRAPBOOKING REVIEW Ethnic Scrapbooking is an excellent book and model for all scrapbookers. The layout and cover were both outstanding. I was totally impressed with contents within ETHNIC SCRAPBOOKING. I believe that Ms. Sanford has done an outstanding job putting together such a wonderful dedication for her sister, Candace, and I also think that it demonstrates how proud Ms. Sanford is of her ancestry, values and beliefs. All of this is clearly displayed in her book, ETHNIC SCRAPBOOKING. This is a book that indeed will inspire and motivate all scrapbookers or aspiring visual artists/fine artists, or even professional artists. I only wish that there were more contents for her book, ETHNIC SCRAPBOOKING. All in all, Ms. Sanford has compelled a remarkable journey and book!! Congratulations,Ms. Sanford. The Role of An Artist

The Role of An Artist by Afrika Midnight Asha Abney The Role of An Artist is to document subjects whether realist or abstract accurately based on the artist’s eye. I believe the role of an artist is very profound and mundane one throughout mainstream society because there is always a need for art. Additionally, I believe the artist plays a dual role, both the healer and creator in documenting a story for society. © 2008 by Afrika Midnight Asha Abney. All Rights Reserved

Who I Be?

Who I Be?

I be tighter than tight
toughest than tough
sweeter than candy
fine as a rose
kind
soft as silk
rhythmic
like the heartbeats beats
deep within my soul
playing tunes
lifts my soul up
higher
as if I were to touch the sky
and see the birds in the sky
singing sweet sings

of joy and peace
easing my soul
raising my spirit
as I rise
high like the sun
flying like the butterfly

reflecting on the ground
like the rainbow
shines
beautiful and peaceful on the
ground
never flowing the shadows
of the darkness
only the light of life, beauty, joy, spirit, and
peace
mother of the earth
guided by God Almighty
protecting my muse from harms way
making sure that my sunshine is filled with love
love myself and those around me
never letting the devil put me down
remember
Who I Be?

We are brothers and sisters

Like the music of individual bells

That ring together as one

Understanding each other

And where they are coming from

Like the keys of a piano

Black and White

And all the shades are just right

This one important time

This colorful life

No reason to fight

Just emit our unique chimes

In concert we'll find

Our connection.
