how can people complain bout the price of gas,
when there's a empty bus in the mist of a massive traffic jam,
no matter the price of fuel people will pay it ,
to drive their hummers,suvs polluting our precious atmosphere,
with their status stupidity ,of greed whining need,
while blaming others for all their troubles,
i turn to him ,he turns to me,
we begin speak of years gone by,
when a friend wasn't someone you rent to own,
a friend would never ask you to sell your soul,
when a friend stopped by it was just because,
time was like family then,
unlike the people rushing to the feed beast,
that turns this old world,round and round and round and round
with a poisonous frozen viper in one hand,
the calm that adds up to fear in the other,
doing their best to keep their status in life together,
far away from reality mayhem
oh no those fools will sleep with a frozen rattle snake,
waiting for it to thaw just to wonder why it bit them,
they just can't see it's the nature of the beast
they look at us with disgust ,
we look at them with pity,
cause in life the best things are really free,
like good company en lightning conversation,
underneath this old shade tree,
my homeless friend and me,
taking a break from day to day struggles ,
neither one of us know, just where,
we will be tomorrow,
we just pray truth and wisdom to follow us
in a world that has yet to conform us
cause in God we still trust..peace wizthom
