The People's Lounge

Many Things

I am hosting a bunch of shows featuring poets this month on Literary Pizzazz, every Tuesday @ 7 PM CST / www.blogtalkradio.com/literary pizzazz. Tonight is "Juanita Harris" from Philly. Next Tuesday I will have Heidi from Indiana, and the last Tuesday features Ber-Henda from Michigan.

I am also coordinating a bunch of anthologies, including "Loving Your Life: A Book for Girls" which will be released in the Summer of 2008. I finished up editing and printing a book for a friend called Creating a Map of Your Life (Lorraine Harrell) and will begin production on "Freida's Jury" by D.L. Crowder in one month. My author, Onika Pascal's book is in production and will be released Mid-May or early June. My own projects have been shifted back but I hope I can pick back up the educational book I was working on so I can get that finished by Summer or Early Fall.

I am writing a short novella called "Dirty Dice" which features a sexy casino player who is in over her head and when a brash man calls her bluff on a bet she lost, an adventure of a life time takes place. The question is, will she fall in too deep where she can't get out. I plan to pitch this novel to an agent at the Romance Slam Jam, which I am a featured author at (www.romanceslamjam.org).

I am reading at two public libraries this month:

Harold Washington Library @ 4/26/08 - 1 PM with the www.chicagopoetry.com POETRY CRAM event.
Woodson Regional Library @ 4/30/08 - & PM with the CityVerse reading sponsored by the Poetry Center of Chicago.

I won't get into May since that's coming up and I am performing and appearing at least 5 times between Chicago and St. Louis. On stage, at high schools, at career fairs, and book fairs. Wish me luck on all this creativity that has exploded.

I am wishing you all well. Please pick up a good poem and read it. Or check out live readings to celebrate National Poetry Month.

Be well,
Pam O.
