Contributing Authors’ Guidelines

Peace. Here at OriginalThoughtMag.com, we are continuously accepting articles from writers of all levels and on a rolling basis. If you have an article that you would like to see in OriginalThoughtmag.com, please email your work along with your brief biography (3 to 4 sentences) to the appropriate Editor(s) in the section(s) it may apply. Please include detailed contact information in order to properly communicate and reach you. The only compensation we offer writers at this time is Gratitude; however, we know and understand that being a part of something for Original People by Original People and gaining worldwide exposure is compensation enough.

OriginalThoughtMag.com is currently published exclusively online. All back issues will be archived. Feel free to look over past issues and use them as reference points to your development and journey in learning. You will have the opportunity to print out your work as well as view comments from the readers.

Our contributing authors’ guidelines are very simple. We are very interested in hearing from Original journalists and in receiving Original articles, reviews, Actual Facts pieces, and images from our Original readers about our Original People. Most of our articles range in topics and varies from actual observations to advisory levels. We aim to share insights with fresh Original perspectives, including meaningful information about varying topics. Your pieces should be at least 500-800 words long, more or less, depending on the topic. All articles should be spell-checked and edited for correct grammar and spelling prior to submission. Please format your articles in “Plain Text” in a Word document. If applicable, a list of cited sources are required and encouraged. In addition, make sure images included are Original and have no watermarks or have been copyrighted. Cite and include photo credits with your pieces when applicable. Write in an active voice, clear and to the point. We encourage that all articles also have applicable headlines, links, and/or music in mp3 format attached upon submission.

Please note that all articles are subject to appropriate revisions by the Editor of the section you have chosen for your piece, as well as the Managing Editor. Keep original copies for yourselves. Do not use profanity and vulgarity, instead, use intelligent choices regarding word usage, for you will be taken off of our contributing writers’ listing if you do not follow these exact guidelines. Our readers range from the babies to the elders and everyone in-between, therefore, we prefer you to accommodate appropriate behavior and offer alternative ways of expression rather than join the usual commercial media out there which do not adhere to the education of most of their audiences.
