The Lord Is Not Your Husband - Lord Yes, Lover No

From the author of: The Family In The Car A Revelation The Lord Is Not Your Husband Lord yes, Lover no Coming Spring, 2009! Placed in human beings are the needs and desires necessary for reproduction. Along with these natural desires, comes personal gratification, as well as, pleasure. All of these are important to the continuance of the life cycle. Without them, humanity would become extinct. Someone once said that they believed God purposely made sex pleasurable so that procreation would… Continue

You Alone You wish to move that block of stone, to make an opening, to pave a way. You steadily push it before you. Sometimes you tire. But somehow, within, you find the strength to push. How Do You Really Feel?

How Do You Really Feel? Good morning. How are you? I’m fine. How are you? Are you always fine when you say those words? Or are you being repetitious in your everyday greetings. If you stop to say how you really feel, Your morning greetings might turn into evening goodnights. When Night Falls

When Night Falls When night falls, do you have a place to lay your head? Or do you search for a cubby hole or a card board box to crawl into? Maybe you’re blessed enough to have relatives or friends, Or maybe you’re not. While it is day, it’s okay You can walk the streets or seek shelter in a mall or restaurant. But when night falls, It’s natural to find a place to lie. While others are going into their abodes and shutting the doors, You seek a safe, warm, refuge just to lay your head. Copy… Continue

The Heart That Keeps On Beating

THE HEART THAT KEEPS ON BEATING It has the most important job. Wounded yet it never skips a beat. There is no gluing or stitching involved, it just continues to work, as if oblivious to attacks. It’s a wonder and many are in awe of it. It’s the pumper of life. Sometimes it’s carelessly handled and is crushed easily. Many are not conscious of its fragileness. It is the holder of emotions and takes a direct hit when trampled upon. Shattered, broken and cracked in many places, however never gi… Continue

Worry

WORRY Worry is to feel or express great care and anxiety, to fret. To worry is to have something constantly on the mind and agonizing over it. It can give a sick feeling. It can also be expressed through speech and action. The mind is agitated and there are complaints, there is impatience and irritability. In other words, there is no peace. Sometimes worry can consume hours, days even weeks out of your life. You try to throw it off, but it clings like static. It clings like a tick on an unsusp… Continue

JUST A FOUR LETTER WORD

Just a four letter word with powerful meaning Something to hang onto when there is no rope left Nothing tangible, nothing you can touch Yet we cling to it, some for dear life REALLY! HOPE, the little four letter word It has kept many holding on to it, When there was no reason to trust its magic, Nor its ability to keep them from falling Can’t imagine the multitude of folk who depend on its ability to deliver What would it be like without HOPE? HANG UP THE PHONE!

HANG UP THE PHONE! 10 to 15 years ago, the number of people who owned a cell phone was much less than it is today. I can remember having a cell phone when many people didn’t. However, post-9/11 has made having a cell a necessity. I know this is true, being a person born and raised in New York City. Cell phones should be used while driving only in the case of emergencies. They should be used with hands-free devices such as earpieces or Bluetooth equipment. There should never be a time when a d… Continue

THE GOAL

THE GOAL It’s like reaching for something far away. If you keep on reaching and running without stopping, you will obtain what you are reaching for. Persevering, not quitting, but going after it with all your might, as though you have to have it; that’s the driving force. Don’t look at time as a barrier. Look at it this way, the years are going to pass anyway, so why not accomplish what you wish. The battle starts in your mind, that’s where it is. It is a war between your spirit and your min… Continue
