I recently witness the blessing of a man being at peace with death in a way i would hope to be when God calls on me to leave this world. He was told of his illness and was given a very short time. " BY THE GRACE OF GOD ", he was surrounded with love from his family and many friends over the period of his hospital stay. I visited him one saturday morning as it was and will always be a moment i'll always remember.
Upon arriving at the hospital i entered the room and he immediately acknowledged me…

A NUBIAN KISS
by
Vernon J. Davis Jr.
In the deep dark
I thought they were Her lips
Waking me up
But who I saw
Was not She(Syawla)
Breathing in my face.
The eyes I didn't recognize
Yet,...so close to mine
And when she floated
Back a step,
She was new,
A soft shadow,
A Nubian Seraph
Not Who I Thought She
Would be
Not my personal Wraith
Just a new muse
Leaving Her
Angelic Lyrical Rhythm
Imprinted upon my soul.
A Nubian Seraph
Loving me...with Wisdom

Our circumstances did not allow David and I to play house before officially living together therefore, we just went for it. Being that we have known each other for well over twenty years I figured we knew damn near everything about each other. I actually thought it was going to be like a Cinderella story. I mean we were so much in love. Boy, was I ever wrong about this man. If I had only known what I was in for, I would have ran in the other direction so fast, that skid marks would have been…

The Duty of Love is about a girl who is dying physically and a boy who is dying spiritually. It's about rats that become humans and humans that become lizards. It's about a wizard who becomes wise and a wizard who tells lies. It's about well-meant little compromises that turn deadly, and heroic stands against all odds. It is also the story of a mysterious maiden who is sure she knows the deepest and greatest secret of all. But most of all, it's about what it means to love and what…

Behold! I send you forth as sheep among wolves; be ye therefore as WISE as serpents yet as GENTLE as doves.
Matthew 10:16

LIGHT OUT OF AFRICA
OUR deepest fear is NOT that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our LIGHT, not our darkness, that frightens us.
We ASK OURSELVES, WHO AM I TO BE SO BRILLIANT, GORGEOUS, TALENTED AND FABULOUS?
Actually WHO ARE YOU NOT TO BE?
YOU are a child of God.
Your PLAYING SMALL doesn'…

Dancing a gallop for all to see
~believe in yourself
when you see my strength… that you have to be
what I look at, when it is you… I see
My rhythm is starting
I feel myself moving…running, jumping, and leaping
I can soar with HIS wind blowing under
My wings~
…I feel you far in the rear
Heart pounding, preparing to leave your space
That is a dark hole without light, nor vigor
Feeling my words…
Your soul is trying to learn a new tune
Filling your spirit with fresh air
…Eyes closed for the ne…

Hi beautiful souls!
What an amazing time in history we live in. Changes are happening at a rate never experienced in my lifetime and certainly not in my parents or grandparents' lifetimes.
While there seems to be a lot of upheaval and anxiety around things like rising oil costs, global warming, the breakdown in society etc it seems to me that these changes are a sign of the old world falling a way and the new world: a more compassionate and awakened one coming forth.
I feel that our true selv…
