the Soul of Kristen Herrington

Please take a moment to enjoy my photo albums. I create mandalas and personal soul mandalas, as well as spiritual greeting cards. I'll be posting more as time goes on, so please continue to check in from time to time!

My creations work through the energy of spiritual principles, allowing me to express the deep relationship between color and consciousness, between love and light filled expressions, between the sacred and the profane.

Namaste,
Kristen

Hi Soulmandala,
What beautiful mandalas. Very creative work. I didn't know too much about mandalas until a couple of years ago when my daughter said she didn't want anything else for her birthday except a mandala so I made her one. I only had a basic guide to go by but I patterned it on her life and used food products like spices and herbs and seeds to make it. I wrote a poem on the back of the frame explaining each section of her life as I had patterned it. She loved it and I got so much pleasure from doing it. I can imagine that you would truely love your work and the beauty you get to create. Can't wait to see more.

Love Deborah

Because I'm from Austin/Round Rock. In Alaska now but I used to be with the Williamson County and Travis County Sheriff's Offices, and the Round Rock Police Dept. I lived in that area ever since I was stationed at Bergstrom AFB back in 1974.

Water Wars: Who Controls The Flow?

So often, we take water for granted. But it's not always where we need it, or there when we need it. Two rivers on opposite sides of the country — the Chattahoochee in the South and the Klamath in the far West — may provide lessons for the inevitable and growing dispute over how we manage our most precious resource.

Obama's Dilemma: Arming The Syrian Rebels

The White House is taking its first tentative steps toward arming Syrian rebels. Host Jacki Lyden speaks with James Fallows, national correspondent with The Atlantic, about the U.S.' ongoing struggle to determine when is the right time to intercede. They also discuss moderate candidate Hasan Rowhani's victory in the Iranian presidential election.

Fighting Unwanted Cat Calls, One Poster At A Time

Telling Stories About Ourselves In 'The Faraway Nearby'

The Movie Jesse Eisenberg Has 'Seen A Million Times'

Actor Jesse Eisenberg could watch the British film Submarine a million times. "The movie as a whole is really wonderful but what I love about it even more is that each individual moment seems so special," he says.

In Istanbul's Taksim Square, Cue The Piano Man

Amid the protests and clashes in Istanbul's Taksim Square, a pianist has been hauling in his instrument at night to entertain the crowds. Each time he does, the raucous crowd stills itself while he plays. In between tunes, chants rise up and he stands on his piano bench to conduct the crowd.

Rule Would List All Chimps As Endangered, Even Lab Animals

Though the regulation proposed by the Fish and Wildlife Service would make it more difficult to use chimpanzees for research purposes, that may not be a problem, some scientists say. Scientific advances show the animals are less medically useful than previously thought.
