- WELCOME one and all! Slaine is continuing her mission to heal self and others by planting and weeding her thoughts about being female, a daughter, mother, sister, aunty and mentor.
'some of our community is in pain right now.' She is trying to do her part by, broadcasting a LIVE weekly radio internet information show, every Sunday between 5-7pm on www.backayardradio.com.
What do we look for with live guest on the show? Any one, doing something positive, within them self or their community. REMEMBER your journey, story will heal and inspire others to effect change in their live.

What inspirers Slaine. Her Grandmother she never met, who had 13 children. Who specks to Slaine in her dreams. All the sheros and heroes that walked before her, so that we all could have a shorter journey. Finally Slaine says, 'Me Myself and I.'
Her versatile array of life experience has spanned 20 years.
Before, as she puts it, Lived and had other life experiences. She has freelanced for Cultural Partnerships, GLR, BBC2-womens hours, World Service-Mag-a-Mix, FLR-(first love radio). Now that she had decided to 're-wine and come again'. She has been getting her groove back, working on 3 programmes on Genesisradio.tv called, Arise with Slaine, Mid Week Pass Thro and rotation show called Sex, Life, Rice n Peas, for the last 12 months.
In July 07, Slaine started her new information show called The Inflomation Show with Sly n Legs and her rotation show, Late Night Pass Thro. Information is her thing, so she combines information, with humour and music. In essence Slaine makes programmes she is passionate about. Keeping the oral tradition alive, from her birth place in the UK, via her Caribbean roots. Right back to the source, MOTHER AFRICA.
The African journey is a long one. We have a vast history, with many stories to tell. KNOW YOUR HISTORY AND FIND YOUR OWN TRUTH.
Black has many colours in it. Be not defined by his-stories, make your own.

a thought for the week end-Why is it so hard to keep it real, or be silent.
I took this out of a sentance an another site page. Why is it so hard to keep it real, or be silent.
Are we just to buzzy with things and thinking. Lets try and re-connect this week with our self, life,dreams, passions and aspirations. I intend to detox and have a animal free weekend. Forgiveness, what does that word mean to you
To me, forgiveness allowed me to break free, heal and move one. Again it took an older sister who happens to be in the church to tell me this. This time i was open to recieve. The wisdom from one that has walked a harder longer road home than me. She was 83 years old, at the time. Her name is Sybil Phoenix.

1. I am a daughter,sister mother( of 5),friend and mentor.
2. Is there any point in ironing. live is just to short.
3. I have been a veggie for over 22 years. but i will have some curry goat and rice on my deaf bed. but only if my mother makes it for me.
4. I like my african sisters, i love all hair adawnment. yes weeves. i have not processed by hair for about 5 years. But after a very tight cornrow session i lost some of my hair line. so now it is coming back i am about ready to start the to finally locks my hair.
5. I am unable to drink alcohol any more since having my last child.
6. After seeing how coco bean have been produced. I am unable to eat chocolate. Ther is no such thing as fair trade chocolate.
7. In essence, making radio programmes I am passionate about. Keeping the oral tradition alive, from her birth place in the UK, via her Caribbean roots. Right back to the source, MOTHER AFRICA. 8. Lets not continue to be divided by words, thoughts and deeds. As a gobel world wide peoples we are in pain. If your jounery is a ways along more than others. We need to educate the rest.

Thanks for inviting me to be your friend. You certainly have some achievements to be proud of. I too have been on an emotional journey especially over the last 12 months very intensely. I have been a bit of a hermit, as things passed out of my life and it has become quite empty, but I know I am on the verge of something wonderful and just being able to connect and share with people around the world like you, is evidence of that. I recently wrote my first book on physical, emotional and spiritual healing and I'm working on getting it out there as I believe once you release the emotional blockages, you can manifest the life you desire. I've started the second book now and am loving just writing it. Learning as I go. Hope we can talk more. I'd love to hear about your journey.
