GiGi,

How are you dear? You have a good Valentine too! I will because my bday is the 15th. Well, then again, that means I am one year older, but what the heck! Maybe it will bring good things. We can change the world one positive thought at a time!

Hi young one. I hope you are doing okay today. It is nice to hear from you. I wish the world were a kinder place. It will get there though. People need to just get smarter and realize that it is a small world, and your time on Earth should be spent learning and growing, not fighting. As my 10 year old son says, "we are all related." He reminded his teacher that "technically, we all came from two beings originally!"

I don't know if you celebrate Easter, Passover or the coming of Spring-
or anything else this time of year- but if you do, please celebrate & enjoy.

The day before Easter, I went to see Wil, but he was not home. On my way back to my home I was trying hard to figure out how to present the few gifts and sweets that I had just purchased for my wife and two daughters. Down the hill and around the corner from Wil's house, there appeared not one, not two, but three beautiful baskets!

One of Wil's neighbors put the baskets on the sidewalk with a "FREE" sign attached. I thought, "What a miracle!" And they were not just any baskets, but old school, handmade and unique. Three sizes, a big one, a medium size "picnic" basket and an Easter basket. My youngest daughter was completely enchanted when she found the baskets on Easter morning. What a wonderful scene it was! Truly a Happy Easter.

Peace & Love to you and yours,
Mike

How Consumers Can Affect Climate Change

Changes in the way Americans drive, the appliances we use, and how much we recycle can lead to a significant reduction in carbon emissions, says the co-author of an article published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences. Michael Vanderberg says change can be significant even if not everyone takes part.

Senate Democrats Near Compromise On Health Care

After tough negotiations, Senate Democrats are nearing a deal on a plan for offering health insurance through the government. It may not be the so-called "public option" discussed for months, but it could be the thing that finally gets a health care bill through the Senate.

Plaintiff In Indian Case On Settlement

The federal government announced Tuesday a $3.4 billion settlement with Indian trust account holders after more than a century of mismanaging their money. Elouise Cobell, a lead plaintiff in the long-running lawsuit Cobell v. Salazar, says the settlement means a lot to her, but more for American Indians who have waited a long time for justice.

High Court Skeptical Of Anti-Fraud Law

Study: 30 Percent Of Americans Are Caregivers

A new study says that 66 million Americans provide care for an elderly parent, family member or a disabled child, and that caregiving has become an unpaid, part-time job. On average, caregivers provide 19 hours of help a week, and this causes people to miss work or to quit work altogether.

Hondurans Seek Resolution Of Political Unrest
