Ted,

I lived in Modesto and Stockton, and now in the Sacramento-area. How do you like the weather up there? My wife and I have often talked of moving to Sequim.

I am glad you like it. You may want to contribute - I am collecting people's stories. Basically, if you think about a life path - a major redirection in your life relating to career, religious or spiritual change, studies, relationship - trace that back to some seemingly irrelevant and unnoticed event without which you would not have taken that path. Example - a friend of mine met and married his wife and settled far from home in Central California for no other reason than the fact that an Air Force clerk made a typo on a transfer order. The fact that I have had a 38 year career in politics traces to one afternoon when I was cruising Main and first heard Bob Dylan on the radio and became captivated by him. Everyone I talk to has at least one such story. The value of the book lies in its prompting people to look more closely at the small, almost invisible events that become change factors on a large scale.
