My dream is to start a non-profit for women who, when recently released from prison, need a place to come where they will not be judged, ridiculed or demeaned; a place where they can take all the time they need to get themselves together before they have to tackle the cold, cruel world again. I plan to offer all kinds of services, including, but not limited to learning work related skills, finding them a job, helping them go back to school to earn their diploma, GED or a degree. Anything that will help them become a productive member of society, that is my goal.

President Obama sat down for an informal dinner Monday with his Chinese counterpart, Hu Jintao. Serious discussions were put off until Tuesday when the two leaders will hold a more formal meeting in China's Great Hall of the People. GM Reports Progress, But Loss Of $1.2 Billion

D.C. Cyclists Turn Out In Tweed

Cyclists in Washington took part in the city's first "Tweed Ride," an event in which bicyclists put on their most dapper attire and toured the city. Participants were encouraged to wear Victorian-era fineries and ride vintage bicycles. The practice began earlier this year in London and since there have been rides in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Chicago and Boston.
