Hi Marcus, thanks for the invitation. So you work in Australia. I'm in Sydney, Australia but originally from New Zealand. I've been here for 22 years now so I suppose I could be called an Australian. I don't know too much about the travel industry except that I'd love to travel overseas when I get the chance. Maybe when I do, you can tell me all the best places to go. Great to meet you Marcus.

Profile Information

Relationship Status:
Married
About Me:
I'm older than dirt and have been having a ball on radio in Australia, Norfolk Island, (look it up for yourself!!!) , New Zealand, Indiana and on a bunch of stations in Florida.

I could talk the leg off a table, and have (once) been acused of suffering from verbal diaroria! In other word, I am never short of something to say, especially if it has something to do with travel or the travel industry!

During my last year in Australia as National Sales & Marketing Dirsctor of one of the Country's largest Travel Wholesalers, I flew on 230 flights and drove 120,000 KM in my car. I have no idea why I paid rent on an apartment because I was never there!

It was a really ough job, but someone had to do it: I had to travel to every South Pacific Island 3 times a year and then perform at every Travel Show in Australia, whilst I was visiting 80% or the Travel Agencies, wrote, and produced the 5 x 48 page destination brochures we produced and, Oh Bye the Way, I also took most of the photographs included in those publications.

Just in case this all sounds like a lot of work, believe me when I say it was a lot of fun! Because I was doing what I was doing, I was frequenly called upon for radio, TV and newspaper interviews;at which time I discovered my FIRST love in the Travel Industry.

Spreading the word is where it is at, so I became a stringer for a bunch of Newspapers and a regular on Radio in Australia, New Zealand, Norfolk Island, Indiana and Florida.

If any of you have larangititus and need some one to interview about the Travel Industry, or even something vaguely related thereto, to save your voice, give me a call and I will "wing it."
By the way, the Aussie Accent is a reall assett for voice overs or add spots that need an Emeril BAMMM!!!

Happy And Insured, Man Has Doubts On Overhaul

Dave Koenig has health insurance through work, and is happy with the plan. But as the health care debate drags on, he says he's losing faith in the overhaul plan. Koenig, who calls himself a conservative, says that at first he was open to President Obama's call to regulate the insurance industry to protect patients. But as lawmakers negotiate behind closed doors, and it's still unclear how much it will cost, Koenig is growing wary of the plan. And he's hoping his health insurance won't change when all is said and done.
