Candace

my name is Candace

inside there's an angel,
trying to come out,
with wings on my back
a hay lo on top,
extending my hand ,
to make you my friend,

the world is so cruel,,
the lack of understanding,
blinds them to the fact.
i am a precious jewel,

narrow minded and fear ,
all they see is a cocoon,
who are they to judge me
ugly what is the meaning ,
when beauty is only skin deep,

if you took the time to know me,
i would open your eyes to see,
all wonders of life,
the true meaning of paradise,

but you waste so much time judging a face,
not caring to look past the tear trace,
why do you fear when you can understand,
i am a person who loves,who feels,
who needs ,who wants,
to be somebodies friend,

so when i approach you,
my name is not monkey girl
in a world of surface thrills,
you can not see the beauty within,
the rivers ,mountains oceans sky,,
or hear the sounds of a humming bird in flight,
birds singing butterflies fluttering ,
peacocks colors strutting ,

i am so much more ,
my name is not monkey girl,
my soul,my spirit ,my heart,
my mind ,is so pleasing in Gods sight,
as the angels dance they call my name,
my name,my name is Candace,,for a friend wizthom
i plan to donate 30% of book sells on our little angels behalf,
mimi author candace publishing who is a member will be doing the inspirational book,,yes ur photos will be in it as w

mothersday

the greatest love on this earth ,mother's love,
the strongest force we all know, mother's love,
the smile ,the warmth. makes her an earth angel,
three cheers it's great having mother love here

mother love is as pure as the virgin snow,
happy mothers day, cause to celebrate,
with fond memories,tell mother dear,
life never appears until she comes near,

like GOD you have many names ,
ma,mama, mom,mother, your true name ,
must be love,love,love,

i am addicted to seeing you,
starring into my eyes,
making me smile,reaching inside,
to bring out the child

in all your glory, from the dawn of time,
love and affection has been your story ,
mothers of the world, how they love,
Gods greatest gift to the world,
he gave us all mothers,

your love is a treasure,
that goes beyond measure,
there can be none better,
only god is greater

happy mother' day,to you,
you and you,
for loving protecting ,nurturing,
healing always being there for your babies ,
on this day lets celebrate.
someone whos with us always..peace wizthom

Mother's Day is sad for me because the last conversation I had with my mother was Mother's Day two years ago. It is still fresh for me as she was 94 years old and around for a long time. Little did I know it would be two weeks later that I would be attending her funeral. So presently the month of May doesn't bring me joy. Reading your words wizthom was a little painful and touched me in the right spots.

mother day is upon us,
fond memories will join us ,
as we celebrate ,
the one who gave us all life,
love ,and wiped our noses,
and booties ,staid with us till our wounds healed,
mothers of the world we solute you,,
..peace
mama mama

mama oh mama,
i miss you sooo---,

mama,oh mama
why did you have to go,
never have i been,
so lost and along,
traveling this road ,
that you said,
would take me home,

mama life for me now,
is sink or swim.
yes mama,
it us verses them,

mama i am doing my best,
to remain afloat,
but there are times,
when i am down to my last hope,
without you to talk to,I'm so confused,
i see you mama,yes i do
when i see my daughter,
looking so much like you,
whenever she smiles ,
this is so true
i see you,mam,mama,
when i see my daughter,
looking just like you
yes i do ,

i know you are watching over me,
i feel you from time to time,
wiping the tears from my eyes,
hugging me when i need it most,
when life is whooping my behind,

mother day is upon us,
fond memories will join us ,
as we celebrate ,
the one who gave us all life,
mothers of the world..peace wisemanspeeks@protected

my love ,how can this be,
you are so much apart of me,
the sight for my eyes to see,
the openness that set's me free,
the half that makes me complete,
the want that is a need,
the very air i breath,

without you i will share a fate,
worst than death,
like being the first to cross the finish line,
and still losing the race,

like wine that's bitter to taste,
with out you this life is such a waste, peace wisemanspeeks@o7

Profile Information

Relationship Status:
Single
About Me:
I am a Lyrical Artist and Visionary. I also do strongly believe that "the people who say it cannot be done, should not interrupt the person who is doing it!"
I am a grandmother of five who had her rites of passage at 50 when I transformed into an author, publisher, artisan, and mixed- media artist.

I am one of those who chose to defy age-regulated stereotypes in taking on a new lease on life as a late creative bloomer. PAIN...PASSION...PURPOSE is my planar path and a real reflection on my life.

Ok, so much for that. I got a sneak peek in a crystal ball and I saw Fame, Fortune and Fabulous Flings in my Future. Yes I know I got your attention! However, you will be visiting the lives of my adoring characters when I return to my novella for publication in 2009
My Birthdate:
February 1953
My Birthplace:
Jamaica, West Indies
My Hometown:
Warminster, PA
My Website:
http://www.dreampublishing.biz
My Favorite People:
My late parents: James and Miriam McCarthy, My elementary school teacher who laid the foundation for my developmental years, Oprah Winfrey, Maya Angelou, Iyanla Vanzant
My Favorite Books:
The Artist's Way, Bird by Bird, Lyricaldreamweaver I and II
My School or Alma Mater:
S.U.N.Y.
My Accomplishments:
A Lifetime of working with people then defying age and gender-regulated stereotypes to have my rites of passage at 50 and venture into a new world.
Why I'm Here:
To Network
My Passion:
Everything that surrounds us in life is here to serve us and it is just a matter of reaching out and grasping. Reality, ration, and reason are recreated in the verses of my poetry books, and someday I will have the pleasure of being the curator of my own in-home Art gallery.
My Hopes:
I started a company in 2003 when I launched my first book. My ultimate unique focus is on naturally talented artists and writers who are challenged by health, disabilities, societal or self-imposed obstacles who are hard-working, and open to learning
My Dreams:
Daydreaming – my alternate reality – is where I choose to dwell until I have found the way to merge both aspects of reality in one place. I don’t expect everyone to understand fully what my long term goals are until they see it unfold completely. You see, this is not yet reflective in the outside world, but it is who I am.

Since I made the decision to take charge of my own destiny, my feelings and actions have changed in the direction of where I am headed. There is always that cognitive dissonance that keeps me focused despite the temptation to give in sometimes. Whether it is words of love, truth or inspiration, I manage to reach others by teaching and touching at the same time.
What Else?:
Today I want to tell you that there is no direct script to how your life movie may run. I don't care who you are, it is not a matter of a straight pathway. For me I did not wake up writing although it may have seemed that way. As for my Art which is still developing, that was also a dormant talent. I have had to evolve and morph through an unhappy marriage to single parenthood; career-oriented corporate to blue collar; picture of health to an insurance company's nightmare. And in between blossoming into a new me, now true entrepreneur and Late Creative Bloomer with a new image of aging and maturity.

The group or person who came up with the term CONTINUING EDUCATION was not joking

Make Time Fly And You'll Have More Fun

Everyone knows that "time flies when you’re having fun," but a new study suggests that the reverse is also true. Researchers tricked people into thinking that either time was flying … or dragging. Those who thought time had "flown by," rated their experiences as more fun.

U.S.-Allied Sunni Groups Struggle Under Iraqi Control

The Sunni militias known as the Sons of Iraq, or Sahwa movement, were credited with helping to defeat al-Qaida in Iraq during the U.S. surge that began in 2007. They have fallen on hard times since coming under Iraqi government control a year ago, facing arrest and other troubles.

Iran Cleric's Funeral Becomes Opposition Protest

Further evidence that opposition to the Iranian government remains strong: Tens of thousands turned out for the funeral of a leading dissident cleric — Grand Ayatollah Hossein Ali Montazeri — in the holy Shiite city of Qum.

'Three-Hour Rule' To Address Tarmac Delays

Starting this spring, delayed airliners must return to a terminal or face hefty fines. They must also offer food and water, maintain lavatories and provide necessary medical attention. The outcry over scenes like this one from a stalled 2007 JetBlue flight promoted the new rules.

Bing Vs. Google: A Weeklong Experiment

James Fallows, national correspondent for The Atlantic and news analyst for Weekend All Things Considered, talks to Michele Norris about his weeklong experiment using the search engine Bing instead of Google to help him track down facts for his latest Atlantic article.

Happy And Insured, Man Has Doubts On Overhaul

Dave Koenig has health insurance through work, and is happy with the plan. But as the health care debate drags on, he says he's losing faith in the overhaul plan. Koenig, who calls himself a conservative, says that at first he was open to President Obama's call to regulate the insurance industry to protect patients. But as lawmakers negotiate behind closed doors, and it's still unclear how much it will cost, Koenig is growing wary of the plan. And he's hoping his health insurance won't change when all is said and done.

Eurostar To Resume Service Tuesday

Eurostar said it would resume its high-speed rail service linking Britain, France and Belgium on Tuesday after a three-day suspension that stranded tens of thousands of travelers. The traffic was suspended between Paris and London through the Channel tunnel as experts tried to discover what caused five trains to get stuck while attempting the passage on Friday.

Health Care Bill Heads For Passage

Senate Democrats won a key procedural vote in the early hours of the morning, overcoming Republican opposition to health care legislation. Two more votes loom before expected final Senate passage by Christmas Eve.

Reporter Discusses Iranian Cleric's Death

Borzou Daragahi, a reporter with The Los Angeles Times, has just left Iran. He talks to Michele Norris about how the death of Ayatollah Hossein Ali Montazeri is affecting the opposition movement in Iran.

Brooke Astor Son Sentenced To At Least 1 Year

Meryl Gordon, author of Mrs. Astor Regrets: The Hidden Betrayals of a Family Beyond Reproach, talks to Michele Norris about the trial of socialite Brooke Astor's son, Anthony Marshall. Marshall and his accomplice, Francis Morrissey, were convicted of defrauding Marshall's mother of millions of dollars before her death in 2007.
