Faery Special Romances

Once Upon A Time, the faery princess Keely tried to match . . .

. . . a misguided faery maiden and a surly but handsome knight, the pirate Devlin Angel and the ever-hopeful Myra, a faery under the ruse of Lord Kembell and a lady of noble birth, a blacksmith and a duchess, a flapper and a barnstormer pilot . . .

But can Keely keep her own heart? With faery magic, anything can happen!

This enchanted carpet-ride features ten romantic faery tales, ten happy couples, and a journey through history with Keely, who grows from a kindergartner to a beautiful young faery woman.

My Birthdate:
July 27
My Hometown:
I'm originally from Homedale, Idaho, which probably explains a lot.
My Website:
http://www.jacquierogers.com
My Favorite Website:
http://www.myspace.com/jacquierogers
My Favorite Books:
I have an incredibly long list of favorite books. I mostly read romance and fantasy these days.
My Favorite Movies:
POTC all of them. LOTR, all of them. Sweet Home Alabama, My Big Fat Greek Wedding, and Dirty Dancing are my guilty pleasure movies. I'll watch The Princess Bride anytime. Love that film!
My School or Alma Mater:
University of Idaho, Boise State University, and University of Washington
My Career:
Oh, good grief. I've done a little bit of everything. I'm a former software designer, campaign manager, deli clerk, and cow milker, but always a bookworm. I've been writing fiction for nearly 10 years, and have several completed novel-length manuscripts in the western historical and futuristic romance genres.
My Accomplishments:
I currently live in the Seattle area with my husband. I have a wonderful life full of love, so what do I do? Decide to become a writer, which is one of the most brutal business known to humanity. Go figger.

Besides Faery Special Romances, my current release, I have stories print-published in two other anthologies--soon to be e-published as well. My next print release will be a short contemporary novel, Down Home Ever Lovin' Mule Blues.

I'm donating all royalties from Faery Special Romances to The Children's Tumor Foundation, ending neurofibromatosis through research. Internet Voices Radio asked me to host two 2-hour podcasts to spread neurofibromatosis awareness.
Why I'm Here:
Professional, To Network, To Make Friends, To Share Ideas, To Learn
My Passion:
Fantasy baseball.
My Dreams:
My first heart's desire was to be a baseball announcer. That went through several dozen different heart's desire phases, and has now morphed into being published by a NY house. Then again, I love being able to write the stories I want to write, and not worry about them fitting the current trend, so when I achieve my goal, I sure hope I can continue with my current publisher and the type of stories I write.
What Else?:
The one and only time I ever played golf, I won a trophy. For Worst Golfer Ever To Set Foot On This Course. So I quit. After all, I already got my trophy.

No doubt about it, Bill Pickett was the man who brought bulldogging, now called steer wrestling, to modern rodeo. As the story goes, when Bill was a boy growing up in Texas, he watched the dogs subdue cattle, and he copied their technique. He could jump on a… Continue

'Three-Hour Rule' To Address Tarmac Delays

Starting this spring, delayed airliners must return to a terminal or face hefty fines. They must also offer food and water, maintain lavatories and provide necessary medical attention. The outcry over scenes like this one from a stalled 2007 JetBlue flight promoted the new rules.

Eurostar To Resume Service Tuesday

Eurostar said it would resume its high-speed rail service linking Britain, France and Belgium on Tuesday after a three-day suspension that stranded tens of thousands of travelers. The traffic was suspended between Paris and London through the Channel tunnel as experts tried to discover what caused five trains to get stuck while attempting the passage on Friday.

Happy And Insured, Man Has Doubts On Overhaul

Dave Koenig has health insurance through work, and is happy with the plan. But as the health care debate drags on, he says he's losing faith in the overhaul plan. Koenig, who calls himself a conservative, says that at first he was open to President Obama's call to regulate the insurance industry to protect patients. But as lawmakers negotiate behind closed doors, and it's still unclear how much it will cost, Koenig is growing wary of the plan. And he's hoping his health insurance won't change when all is said and done.
