Autographed Books

My birthday was this past Saturday. Some of my relatives came in from out-of-town to spend the day with me. We had a wonderful time celebrating the release of my fourth novel, Married Strangers. I actually have some books on hand. I figured that since so many of my online friends live in different states, it's difficult to include you in the festivities. So I thought of something. Here's the deal. You can order an autographed copy of Married Strangers and/or Divorcing the Devil for $15 each or… Continue

I made a bestsellers list!

I'm so excited. A friend of mine called me from Ohio to tell me that my books, Only True Love Waits and Divorcing the Devil, are on the Top 25 Black Christian Small-Independent Publishers Bestsellers List (Fiction). I was even more delighted when I saw Scent of an Angel on the list, too! The author, Darn Oldham, is signed to my publishing company, Nevaeh Publishing. Yippee! Here's the link, http://www.blackchristiannews.com/bcbdbestseller.html, but I also pasted the list below.

Congratulations on your accomplishments Dwan. You're doing some great things in writing and publishing.

I'm a new writer having co-written a Christian Children's book with my former father-in-law. He's 82 and pretty darned cool.
We lost his daughter in 2000 but his heart remains bouyant and he shared a beautiful poem with me last Christmas Eve and we've since turned it into a book with CD for parents and children to share and grow closer to each other and to God. Received a Book Review today that made both Donald and me flip right over the couch (speaking figuratively). It's great writing the book but now we realize how much we have to learn about promoting it.

We are embracing the challenge. We are driven to get this book out to families. It's a new twist, new passion in both of our lives. Life is great, including new people and the People's Lounge experience. Human potential, shared for the common good. Got to like that. :~)

Thanks Dwan. I appreciate the nice words. You are impressive in your endeavors, looks, kindness, positive mindset.
Today was a pretty neat day for me. My webmaster was able to put MP3 snips of some of my songs on our website. It's uplifting to go through the whole process of writing a book, coupled with CD but then to be left with the challenge that lies ahead; promoting to make the big world aware of our little but significant offering.
Life presents many gifts, one at a time. This is a good one for me to be dealing with at this time. It gives me hope of making a difference in children's lives, both in letting many learn about God's love early in their lives so He matters as they go forward but also to be close to the starting line of where we'll be able to feed children in peril.
Likely the most meaningful thing I've done to date.
Keep blessing people. You're beautiful and impressive.

Tech Companies Have A Lot At Stake With Immigration Bill

The tech industry is getting a lot in the Senate's immigration overhaul bill. Dominique Venner, a well-known French historian who embraced and wrote about ultra-conservative causes for decades, committed suicide today in front of the alter at Notre Dame Cathedral.
