just when you think you've found someone ,
who understands,
the meaning of being a friend,
you find the wind blows,
the same story again,
close but so far away,

just when you think you have a star,
to cast a wish upon,
you realized what u hoped for ,
never was what you longed for,
for what you lone for has since been gone,
never to come again,
never to return,

as the star flickers before going out,
leaving your wish without,
you been used by the one you thought ,
you could give your love to,

love oh love why do you keep messing with me,
love oh love, why don't you just let me be,
sad and lonely but yet free to dream,
my lovely imaginings,

fooled again by someone who words ,
was just a lure,of another heartache,
i must endure, a false alarm
that pretended to be pure,

when in actuality nothing in love ,
is sure,
Adam learned a lesson from eve,
Samson learned the hard way from Delila,
Salomone wasn't so wise when Sheba,
refused to stand by his side,

now it's my turn to cry,
those same bitter tears,
of a love that can't appear,
to be true, build for fools,
again i lose,here's the proof,

love oh love why do you keep messing with me,
love oh love, why don't you just let me be,
sad and lonely but yet free to dream,
my lovely imaginings,peace wisemanspeeks@protected 08

Nighttime

Alone at night again
Remembering what had been

The peace of sleep and stillness
Reviving nature’s fulfillness
The scent of love so sweet
The warmth of body heat

We turn and curve into form
A rhythm of passion unknown
We lay, unawake with splendor

Subconsciously embracing
Unknowingly love making; we turn then turn again

I move, he moves, we move
I twist, he twists, we twist

A mist the moon then sun
Our lives complete as one

Fun? In Baghdad? A Theme Park Seeks A Comeback

During the time of Saddam Hussein, Iraqi families flocked to Baghdad Island, a sprawling, once-popular Baghdad amusement park. Destroyed by looting after the 2003 U.S. invasion, the park is now undergoing revitalization, with the help of the U.S. Army.

Why A Little City In Wisconsin Is The Best Place To Die

Joe Hauser lives in La Crosse, Wis., where nearly 100 percent of older adults have signed a directive outlining their end-of life plans. Hauser's kidneys are failing and he doesn't want to live on a machine, but he's keeping his options open. Talking about end-of-life care helps people make informed choices and have their wishes heard, according to the hospital staff.

The Man Who Made You Put Away Your Pen

'Mad Scientists,' Building The Future For 50 Years

If you've used a GPS system — or if you happen to be using the Internet to read this — you can thank DARPA, the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency. For 50 years, the smallish, somewhat secretive division of the Pentagon has been mostly off-limits to reporters. Now author Michael Belfiore has profiled the agency in a new book.

Arlington Ladies Pay Tribute To Fallen Soldiers

The Arlington Ladies believe that no death should go unmourned. How do they make sure that happens? The group of women attend people's funerals, even though they don't know them. NPR's Petra Mayer caught up with a few of the ladies at Arlington National Cemetery during this week's Veterans Day celebrations.

Terra Cotta Warriors March Through Washington

In 1974, a group of farmers digging a well in central China stumbled upon a buried figure. It turned out to be one of an estimated 7,000 life-sized terra cotta warriors in an underground tomb complex. The warriors and a host of other figures were created for China's first emperor, Qin Shihuangdi. Host Guy Raz drops by the National Geographic Museum in Washington, D.C., to see an exhibit of the figures.
