This might be a touchy topic, because it always gets heated with those who fit this category. But I have always believed that there is a difference between being religious and a true Christian. Someone who is religious, goes to church every Sunday but is lost to the message, because they will be the very same person using foul language, smoking and drinking like a fish. Indulging in behaviors that defy the bible, the very thing that God condemned many nations for doing, hence, pre-marital sex. Those that can read the bible from back to front, but can still go to an inappropriate atmosphere where they can fall into sin. The bible states to stay above reproach. We are the light to the lost, and if we profess to be followers of god, then we need to exemplify that everyday and every second of the day. Those we are trying to reach out to, are forever vigilant, for in order for them to believe, they have to see something that stands us apart, even if they don't quite understand it. We can't be the difference, if we don't dare to be different. The bible is very clear on its standards of what makes us followers of god......Period! So I ask, if God were in the room with you, would you be confident that what he saw you doing he would be proud of you or displeased? Not looking for answers, just thought provoking really.
I am not trying to offend anyone, this is just merely an opinion....back to my poetry!
