The People's Lounge

I'll personally never forget that fateful day... working from home, I watched it all unfold right before my eyes, on the television... it was horrifying. My favorite American city... my favorite buildings... all those people.

Tell us about what you remember... where you were, what you saw... what you felt... as a person, as an American, as an international citizen...

Blessings, Wil/TPL

BUT I INSISTED THAT WAS NO ACCIDENT THEN THE SECOND PLANE HIT I THEN TOLD HER YEAH ACCIDENTS DON'T HAPPEN LIKE LIGHTNING STRIKING TWICE ,THEN THE PLANE CRASHING INTO PENTAGON!!,THAT SEALED THE FATE OF WHAT WAS HAPPENING,AS THEY WENT BACK AND FORTH FROM SCENES,THEN AS THEY SHOWED CLOSE UPS OF BOTH TOWELS BURNING I SAW THEM JUST CRUMBLE DOWN TO DUST,I KNEW THEN THE SYMBOLS OF AMERICAN GREED POWER WERE BEING ATTACKED FROM OUTSIDE,I WATCHED AS PRESIDENT BUSH WAS INFORMED OF WHAT WAS HAPPENING HE SHOWED NO REACTION BUT IT WAS WRITING ON HIS FACE,I ADMIRED HIS COURAGE IN THE MIST OF THE CHAOS HE REFUSED TO HIDE AS HIS ADVISERS TRIED TO PERSUADE HIM T DO SO ,YES I EVEN SAW THE PLANE THAT WAS ON IT'S WAY TO THE WHITE HOUSE THEY SAID CRASHED, BUT FROM A VISION OR TRANCE I SAW WHAT APPEARED TO BE A MISSILE STRIKING IT,ALL THIS WAS IN SLOW MOTION AS I KNEW I WAS WITNESSING PROPHECY UNFOLD, PEACE WIZTHOM
PEOPLE JUMPING OUT WINDOWS,,PEOPLE TRAPPED ON TOP FLOORS WAVING,,CLOUDS AND CLOUDS OF SMOKE,,PEOPLE RUNNING COVERED IN DUST ,THE LOOK ON THEIR FACES ,BUT I NEVER SAW DEATH BUT IT'S PRESENTS WAS ALL OVER THE TWIN TOWELS,
I WOULD LOVE TO FORGET ,,TELL ME WHAT SANE PERSON WOULD WANT TO KEEP THIS VISION OF DEATH IN THEIR LIFE,,HAD I NOT BEEN IN A TRANCE I WOULD HAVE TURNED THE TV OFF,,I ALWAYS TELL MY DAUGHTER IF EVER IN LIFE YOU COME ACROSS SOMETHING YOU DON'T WANT O SEE,,JUST KEEP ON WALKING AND LET IT BE,,NOW THE VICTIM THANKS TO WELL MEANING IGNORANT THOSE WHO WISH TO PROFIT OFF IT MAKE IT A HOLIDAY EVERY YEAR,,AS IF THERE'S CLOSURE IN OPENING OLD WOUNDS,,
9-11 is indeed, a day no american will ever forget, that is why it is very important to know what really happened. Recently, I discovered a site that provides the evidence of what really happened. The site is www.americaninquirer.com. I recommend it to anyone, who is trully interested in the events of that day
That day as i remember, i was home preparing to go to class at the C.J.R.C, ( COURT PROGRAM ). By the time i reached class, the discussion about the events of the World was taken place. In disbelief, it was a very humbling experience, because the concern for others began to show itself among those of us that otherwise may have been written off as selfish, self-centered, individuals of the court system. The silence alone, as we watched over the TV., gave the counselors a new perception. That day i am certain we all left with an adjustment and conscious thought for others, as well as a message, as we closed class that day with a prayer.
I am a Nicaraguan citizen, despite living so far away I was not able to stop my tears at all that pain, horror and death, but most of all my tears were of anger and helplessness to see how few criminals had taken the life in your hands of so many innocent people as if they were God, it's incredible to levels so low that it can reach a human being, but the most painful for me was so much loss of life without reason, without justification, the pain of having lost so many people Parents, mothers, sons, brothers, friends, God has in his glory to all these people that their lives were cut short by some unfortunate criminals and help heal the wounds of their families and the entire American people, my sympathy and my love for all that brave people.

9/11 has really stayed with me. I was sonly ten when it happened but I can clearly recollect coming home form school and seeing the image of the smoking New York skyline all over TV. And then when the second plane struck I knew that  , that particular day would be part of history.

How The Civil Rights Movement Was Covered In Birmingham

A Look Back At How Newspapers Covered The Civil Rights Movement

This week Audie Cornish travels to Birmingham, Ala., to revisit some of the stories that shaped that city and the nation in the summer of 1963. Today she talks with Hank Klibanoff, co-author of The Race Beat about how the newspapers covered the civil rights struggle fifty years ago.

Patients Lead The Way As Medicine Grapples With Apps

Smartphone apps can help count calories or detect a heart attack. People are embracing them to manage many aspects of their health. But medical apps are largely unregulated now, so there's no easy way to be sure which ones are trustworthy and which ones aren't.

Mexico's Tech Startups Look To Overcome Barriers To Growth

In the past decade, Mexico's tech industry has flourished, growing three times faster than the global average. Most of that growth has been fueled by demand from the United States. But as Mexico's startups strive to make it in foreign markets, they say they need more engineers and ways to finance their growth.
